Back 9 Golf & Entertainment, the $30 million golf and entertainment space, will open Aug. 5.
The downtown Indianapolis waterfront space, at 1415 Drover St., will be home to the new Best Friends Coffee & Spirits, an expansion of the popular Best Friends Coffee & Bagels in Brownsburg, as well as a Back 9 restaurant.

Best Friends, occupying a spot on the first floor, will have a coffee and espresso bar and offer frappes and smoothies and a cocktail menu.

Located along the banks of the White River, the 58,500 square-foot facility also includes 75 climate-controlled golf bays, a three-story golf range and a 350-person outdoor music pavilion.
Initially called Flying Tee when it was announced in 2020, the concept is similar to TopGolf, a technology-enabled golf, party and entertainment venue with a full-service bar and restaurant. TopGolf has a location in Fishers.
Back 9 will be open Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m.
