Candy Corn Recalled in Several States Due to Undisclosed Allergen

If you purchased candy corn recently, you might want to check the package.

Arcade Snacks of Auburn, Massachusetts, has recalled its 15-ounce packages of candy corn because they may contain eggs as an undeclared ingredient and potential allergen.

According to the official statement on the FDA website, people allergic to eggs run the risk of severe or life-threatening adverse reactions if they consume these products.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that the candy (which contains eggs) was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of the allergen. Fortunately, no illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.
