College football scores, schedule, NCAA top 25 rankings, games today: Oregon vs. UCLA in top-10 showdown

We’ve arrived at Week 8 of the college football season, and another packed slate of games spanning early afternoon until late at night is on deck. Highlighting the action are 11 games involving teams ranked in the AP Top 25 poll, including five pitting ranked teams against each other.

In Saturday’s early window, No. 2 Ohio State hosts Iowa while No 3 Tennessee looks to avoid a hangover from its big win last week as it hosts UT Martin from the FCS ranks. The headliner in the noon ET slot, however, is an ACC battle of unbeatens with No. 14 Syracuse traveling to No. 5 Clemson. The afternoon menu is the day’s best. In addition to the SEC on CBS Game of the Week between No. 7 Ole Miss and LSU, there are also two critical top-20 matchups as No. 10 Oregon hosts No. 9 UCLA and No. 11 Oklahoma State hosts No. 20 Texas.

The evening slate is highlighted by No. 6 Alabama’s SEC West showdown with No. 24 Mississippi State as the Crimson Tide try and rebound from last week’s loss at Tennessee. Elsewhere, No. 8 TCU hosts No. 17 Kansas State in a matchup between two 3-0 Big 12 teams who are overachieving in a brutally tough conference.

CBS Sports will be here every step of the way to update you with the latest scores, highlights and storylines throughout the day. All times Eastern
